Christian Sengfelder was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for games played from February 23-March 1, it was announced by the league office today. It is the fifth A-10 Rookie of the Week award for Sengfelder, and the seventh for the Rams, this year.

In his first game of the week, a 63-48 win over La Salle in the Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday, Sengfelder recorded his third double-double of the year, scoring 14 points and adding 14 rebounds, two shy of his season-high. He shot 7-for-10 from the field in the game. Sengfelder followed that game with a 17-point, six-rebound effort in an 82-74 loss at Massachusetts on Saturday, shooting 6-for-9 from the field.

For the week, Sengfelder shot 68.4 percent from the field (13-of-19), averaging 15.5 ppg and 10.0 rpg along with recording two blocks.

On the year, Sengfelder is averaging 11.4 ppg, third best on the team, and 7.4 rpg, second best on the squad. He is ninth in the Atlantic 10 and eighth among all NCAA Division I freshmen in rebounding.

The Rams (9-18, 4-12) return to action on Wednesday, March 4, as they host the Duquesne University Dukes in an Atlantic 10 game in the historic Rose Hill Gym at 7:00 p.m.
