Newport News, Va. (February 4, 2015) – Fordham University freshman
Estelle Wong was named the Atlantic 10 women's tennis rookie of the week for matches from January 27-Febraury 2 it was announced by the league office today. It is the second consecutive weekly award for Wong.
Wong was perfect in the Rams lone match on the week as Fordham defeated Duquesne at the Hillcrest Racquet Club in Reading, Pennsylvania. She defeated Maddy Adams at third singles, 6-3, 7-6 (11-9) and teamed with
Julie Leong to take an 8-4 decision from Duquesne's Alexa Miller and Zuzanna Stelmaszak at second doubles.
The Rams return to action on February 12 as they take on St. John's at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
