Fordham junior swimmer
Steve Sholdra (Renton, Wash.) was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week, it was announced today. It is Sholdra's second weekly award of the season, his third career Performer of the Week award, and his tenth weekly award overall.
Sholdra won three individual events in the Rams' 172.5-115.5 loss to UMass this past weekend. Sholdra won both distance freestyle events as well as the 200-yd butterfly (1:50.93). He recorded a time of 9:34.95 in the 1,000-yd freestyle and 4:38.74 in the 500-yd freestyle.
Sholdra and the rest of the Rams are back in action on Wednesday, February 4
th, when Fordham hosts St. Francis (NY) College at 6:00 PM in the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center for Senior Night.
