Former Ram Dan Light Signs with the Denver Broncos

All-American tight end added to practice roster

Bronx, N.Y. – Former Fordham University All-America tight end Dan Light was signed to the Denver Broncos practice squad it was announced by the team today.
 
Light, the most productive pass-catching tight end in Fordham history, closed out his career by earning All-America and First Team All-Patriot League honors in 2014 as well as Second Team Academic All-America® accolades. He ranks fifth on the Fordham career receptions list (177) and eleventh in the career receiving yards list (1,594). The 2014 Danowski Award winner had 43 receptions for 385 yards with six touchdowns in 2014.
 
As a junior in 2013, Light was named Third Team All-America and First Team All-Patriot League after recording 66 receptions for 588 yards, both fourth best on team, with two touchdowns. He led all NCAA FCS tight ends with 66 receptions and the 66 receptions is a school record for tight ends while the 588 yards is the second-best season for a tight end in school history.
 
Light joins former Ram Isa Abdul Quddus (Detroit Lions) on an NFL roster. Additionally, former wide receiver Greg Wilson just completed his first season with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL.
