BRONX, N.Y. -- The 2015 Fordham softball team will receive its Atlantic 10 Championship Rings this Saturday, Nov. 7 at halftime of the football game against Bucknell, which starts at 1 p.m. The Rams finished third in the regular season after going 17-5 in conference play to earn the #3 seed in the A-10 Championship. Fordham went on to win all four of its games, including an 8-2 victory over top-seed Dayton in the title game to clinch its third consecutive conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Rams were then shipped to the Harrisonburg Regional in Harrisonburg, Va. and came within one game of playing for a chance to go to the NCAA Super Regionals. Fordham, who was the #3 seed in the regional, lost to second-seed North Carolina State, before bouncing back with wins over fourth-seed Binghamton and top-seed James Madison, who was the hosts, the #15 overall seed and ranked #17 in the country. The Rams then saw their season come to an end when N.C. State won on a walkoff home run in the bottom of the seventh. Fordham finished the season 38-20 and tied its best postseason run in program history.
