Fordham Game NotesÂ
Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Fordham University football Rams open play in the 2015 NCAA FCS Championships as they travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee, to face the Chattanooga Mocs in a first round game in Finley Stadium on Saturday, November 28, at 1:00 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 with Jim Barber (p-b-p) and Mark Herman (color) announcing and can also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on WFUVsports.org with Matt Moro (p-b-p) and Kristian O'Hara (color) handling the announcing chores.

Kevin Anderson#14/15 Fordham enters the game with a 9-2 overall record after closing out the regular season with a 38-31 Patriot League win at Georgetown on November 14. Chattanooga enters the game with an 8-3 overall record after a 52-13 loss at Florida State last Saturday.

This will be the first meeting between Fordham and Chattanooga on the gridiron and Fordham's third straight and fifth overall appearance in the NCA AFCS Championships.

Fordham is just one of seven schools to earn a bid to the NCAA FCS Championship in each of the past three years.

Conor Cassidy (offense for defense),
Nick Zawisha (defense for the offense) and

The Fordham is one of four NCAA FCS teams to have two wins over an FBS opponent since 2013, joining North Dakota State, Bethune-Cookman and Portland State. The Rams are also one of six NCAA FCS teams to have a win over an NCAA FBS school in 2015.

The Rams have now been ranked in the top 25 for 41 straight weeks.

No New York area football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 38 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Rutgers and Sacred Heart, who each has 27 wins over the past three-plus years, while the NFL's Giants (who play more games in a season than the Rams) have 27 and the Jets 23.

Sophomore running back
Chase Edmonds leads the NCAA FCS in scoring, averaging 13.6 ppg while he also ranks second in the NCA AFCS and third overall in the NCAA in rushing touchdowns with 20 (Alabama's Derrick Henry has 21 as does Lamar's Kade Harrington). Edmonds is also third in the NCAA FCS in total rushing yards (1,643). Edmonds is also third in the NCAA FCS in rushing yards per game (149.4), fourth among all NCAA Division I rushers (Harrington is averaging 190.2 while Marshaun Coprich from Illinois State in averaging 156.4 on the NCAA FCS level while Leonard Fournette of LSU is averaging 158.2).
