The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly swimming & diving award winners today, with Fordham swimmers
Steve Sholdra (Renton, Wash.) and
Megan Polaha (Orefield, Pa.) earning Men's and Women's Performer of the Week honors, respectively.

It is Sholdra's fifth career performer award and 12
th weekly award overall, while being the fourth A-10 performer award for Polaha and fifth overall.

Sholdra earns his second award of the season after a big weekend for the Rams at the Bucknell Invitational, winning three events and placing second in another, while also posting one school record and one NCAA "B" cut time. He opened the Invitational by winning the 500 freestyle event in a school record time of 4:26.81, bettering the previous mark of 4:28.24 by
Liam Semple last year. On Saturday, he won the 400 individual medley event with a season-best time of 3:54.64, while helping the 800 freestyle relay take seventh in 6:52.77. He then wrapped up the Invitational on Sunday by winning the 1650 freestyle in an NCAA "B" cut time of 15:27.32, while taking second in the 200 butterfly in a season-best time of 1:48.50.

Polaha had an outstanding weekend at the Bucknell Invitational as well, winning three events and breaking two school records. She opened the Invitational by winning the 200 IM in a season-best time of 2:02.90 on Friday. Then on Saturday, she broke her own school record in the 400 IM, winning the event in an NCAA "B" cut time of 4:18.91. The previous mark was 4:19.72, set in 2014. She followed that performance by taking sixth in the 100 butterfly in 55.49 seconds, and helping the 800 freestyle relay to a sixth place finish in 7:35.92. On the final day, Polaha added another event win and school record in the 200 butterfly. She won the event in an NCAA "B" cut time of 1:58.47, bettering her own school record of 1:58.51, set in 2014.
