ResultsThe Fordham women's swimming & diving team won 11 events, which included two season-best times, as the Rams defeated the LIU Post Pioneers, 164-106, at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center on Friday night.
The Rams opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, as
Morgan Fairclough,
Shannon Lulley,
Kalena Laurent, and
Theresa Goehring posted a time of 1:48.63.
Natalie Malicki was Fordham's next event winner, taking the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:58.04, while
Shannon Lulley won the 100 breaststroke event with a season-best time of 1:07.50.
Megan Gray and Laurent won the sprint freestyle events, as Gray took the 50-yard freestyle in 24.67 seconds, with Laurent winning the 100-yard freestyle in 53.68 seconds.
Caption Megan Polaha grabbed the next event win, taking home the 200-yard backstroke in a season-best time of 2:04.82 with
Anna Marshall winning the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:27.79. The final individual swimming winner was Goehring, who took first in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:18.57.
The Rams ended the meet with the top time in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as
Erin McBride, Polaha,
Yvonne Kang, and Gray posted a top time of 1:38.66.
In diving,
Wendy Espina-Esquivel won both diving competitions with scores of 282.00 (1M) and 306.75 (3M).
The Fordham swimming & diving team will next be in action on November 20-22, when they take part in the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
