Fordham Game NotesÂ
Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University football Rams close out their 2015 regular season as they travel to Washington, D.C., to face the Georgetown University Hoyas in a Patriot League matchup on Cooper Field on Saturday, November 14, at 12:00 p.m.

The game will be streamed live on Campus Insiders with Jeremy Huber (p-b-p), Emory Hunt (color) and Josh Apple (sidelines) announcing and can also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on WFUVsports.org with Matt Moro (p-b-p), Kristian O'Hara (color) handling the announcing chores.

#16/17 Fordham, the 2014 Patriot League champions, enters the game with a 8-2 overall record, 4-1 in the Patriot League, after a 24-16 Patriot League win over Bucknell on Jack Coffey Field last Saturday. Georgetown enters the game with a 4-5 overall record, 2-2 in the Patriot League, after a 33-28 league loss at Lehigh on October 31.

This will be the 58th meeting between Fordham and Georgetown on the gridiron. The Rams lead the all-time series, which started in 1889, 34-20-3. The two teams also met five times on the club level with Fordham winning three of the five contests. Peter Maetzold completed 15 of 19 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns and
Brian Wetzel caught nine passes for 103 yards and a score.

George DawsonThe Fordham is one of four NCAA FCS teams to have two wins over an FBS opponent since 2013, joining North Dakota State, Bethune-Cookman and Portland State. The Rams are also one of six NCAA FCS teams to have a win over an NCAA FBS school in 2015.

The Rams have now been ranked in the top 25 for 39 straight weeks.

No New York area football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 37 victories over that stretch. The closest competitor is Rutgers, who has 26 wins over the past three-plus years while the NFL's Giants (who play more games in a season than the Rams) have 27 and the Jets 23.

Sophomore running back
Chase Edmonds is tied for the lead among all of the NCAA Division I (FBS and FCS) in rushing touchdowns with 19 (Lamar's Kade Harrington also has 19 while Louisiana Tech's Kenneth Dixon and Alabama's Derrick Henry each have 17). Edmonds is also second in the NCAA FCS in total rushing yards (1,506), behind Harrington's 1,805. He is also second in the NCAA FCS in rushing yards per game (150.6), fourth among all NCAA Division I rushers (Leonard Fournette of LSU is averaging 172.9 and Florida State's Dalvin Cook is averaging 153.9 while Harrington is averaging 200.6).

Fordham junior linebacker
George Dawson was named STATS FCS National Defensive Player of the Week as well as Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week following the Bucknell game. In Fordham's 24-16 Patriot League win over Bucknell on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, Dawson made a team-high ten tackles, eight solo, including two sacks for a loss of 25 yards. He also forced a fumble, broke up a pass and intercepted a two-point conversion pass that would have given Bucknell an 18-17 lead with 1:44 remaining. Dawson also recovered the ensuing onside kick for the Rams. His first sack was also a forced fumble that was recovered by Fordham and led to the Rams' first score of the second half that gave Fordham a 17-10 lead. The ten tackles is a season-high for the Bronx native.
