ResultsThe Fordham track & field team was back at the Armory Track & Field Center for the Metro Team Challenge on Friday, where the Rams posted 14 top eight finishes, which included one event win.

Fordham finished ninth out of 22 scoring teams in the men's competition with 27 points. Fordham was led by
Lester Taylor, who won the 1,000 meter run with an IC4A qualifying time of 2:27.14.

The next best finish for the Rams was in the distance medley relay, which grabbed third place in 10:24.79.

Fordham also scored in the mile run, the 3,000 meter run, and the shot put events. In the 3,000 meter run, three Rams finished in the top eight.Â
Devin Rocks placed fifth overall in 8:53.68, followed by
Jake Duckworth in seventh (8:54.59) and
Adam Schwenzfeier in eighth (8:55.95).Â
Nik O'Brien scored in the mile run, taking eighth in 4:21.17, while
Austin Ruiz was sixth in the shot put with a distance of 44' 7".

In the women's competition, Fordham was 11
th out of 21 scoring team with 19 points.

Fordham was led by the tandem of
Danielle Rowe and
Kristen Stuart in the 400 meter dash. Rowe took fifth overall in 57.90 seconds, while Stuart was eighth in 58.02 seconds.

The Rams also scored in both relay events, as the 4x400 relay was sixth in 3:55.50, with the distance medley relay also taking sixth in 12:27.47.

Fordham also scored in the 1,000 meter run, mile run, and 3,000 meter run.Â
Mara Lieberman earned a fifth place finish in the mile run in 5:07.75, with
Melissa Higgins finishing sixth in the 1,000 meter run in 2:58.98.Â
Ariana Bottalico was the final scorer for Fordham in the 3,000 meter run, grabbing eighth place in 10:29.94.

The Fordham track & field team will next be in action on January 30-31, as the Rams travel to Boston for the Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University.
