ResultsThe Fordham track & field team got its indoor season underway on Friday night at the annual Christmas Classic, held at the Lombardi Center Fieldhouse.

The first meet served as a compliance meet with dual scoring only.

Fordham had two event winners on the night, as seniors
Titi Fagade and
Austin Ruiz each captured first place in their respective events. Fagade won the 1000 meter run in a time of 3:03.4, while Ruiz took home the shot put event with a distance of 48' 7 ¼".

Other top performances included senior
Kristen Stuart taking third in the 500 meter run in 1:18.7, while freshman
Jennifer Boerke was second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.6 seconds. Freshman
Kylie Farrell also had a strong night in their first action as a Ram. Farrell was fourth in the 200 meter dash in 27.6 seconds, fifth in the high jump (5' 0"), fourth in the long jump (16' 4 ¾"), and third in the triple jump (30' 7 ¾"). Sophomore
Hailey Serrano also had a pair of top ten finishes, taking fourth in the weight throw (41' 3") and eighth in the shot put (30' ¾").

In the 4x400 relay, the women's "A" relay took second overall in 4:03.1.

On the men's side, Fordham had three runners in the top six finishers in the 1,000 meter run.Â
Lester Taylor placed second in 2:31.7, followed by
Daniel Green in fourth (2:36.1) and
Yehia Fahmy in sixth (2:37.1).

In addition to his shot put win, Ruiz took second in the weight throw with a distance of 43' 2 ¼", while Patrick McGuire was fourth in both throwing events with distance off 40' 9 ¾" (shot put) and 39' 5" (weight throw).

In the 4x400 relay, the men's "A" relay placed fifth in 3:36.1.

th at the Yale Classic in New Haven, Connecticut.
