Atlantic 10 Release
 
Newport News, Va. (December 15, 2014) – Fordham University freshman forward Christian Sengfelder was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for games played from December 8-14, it was announced by the league office today.
 
In the Rams' 68-58 overtime win over Monmouth on Wednesday night in the Rose Hill Gym, Sengfelder notched his first career double-double, netting season-high 21 points and adding eleven rebounds.  He shot 8-12 in the game, including 2-4 from behind the arc.
 
In the Rams other contest on the week, Sengfelder netted eleven points and added three rebounds in a loss to #24 St. John's on Sunday.
 
For the week, Sengfelder shot 57.1 percent from the field (12-of-21), averaged 16 points per game and seven rebounds per game.
 
After a week off for finals, the Rams (3-5) return to action on Monday, December 22, as they travel to Brooklyn to face the Manhattan College Jaspers in the Barclays Center at 6:00 p.m.
