Emily Tapio netted 12 of her game-high 18 points after halftime while knocking down 9-of-17 from the field and dishing out a game-best four assists in 40 minutes of action. The Atlantic 10 Player of the Week also scored her 500th career point. Junior
Samantha Clark battled foul trouble but still came away with a team-high seven rebounds, while senior
Taryn Durant added six boards and made both ends of a one-and-one to seal the victory in the final seconds.
Defense was the story in the contest. Despite shooting only 39.6 percent (21-of-53), the Rams held Delaware to only 34.0 percent (16-of-47), which included the Blue Hens connecting on 4-of-7 from behind the arc. Fordham also turned the ball over only nine times while forcing Delaware into 15 miscues resulting in a 13-4 advantage in points off turnovers.

Incarnate Word, which is located in San Antonio, lost to Texas Wesleyan, 74-66, in its season opener, before bouncing back with wins at Houston (50-48) and at home to St. Thomas (64-49). Aricka Edwards leads the Cardinals in scoring at 15.0 points per game, while Haley Frias adds 8.3 points per game. Yvonne Maosa leads the team on the glass with 5.0 rebounds per game.
Up NextThe Rams conclude the USTA Thanksgiving Classic this Sunday, Nov. 30 when they take on Drake at 3:30 p.m. EST, before returning to Rose Hill Gymnasium next Friday, Dec. 5 to host Seton Hall at 7 p.m.
