Fordham Game NotesÂ
Bronx, N.Y. (November 28, 2014) - Â The Fordham University football Rams open the 2014 NCAA FCS Championships as they host the Sacred Heart University Pioneers on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, November 29, at 12:00 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 with Bob Picozzi (p-b-p) and Matt Chatham announcing. The game will also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on WFUV.org with Mike Watts (p-b-p), Nick Logerfo (color) and Kelly Kultys (sidelines) handling the announcing chores.

#9/12 Fordham, 10-2 overall, enters the game after a 42-31 loss at Army last Saturday. #ARV/22 Sacred Heart enters the game with a 9-2 overall record after a 14-7 win over Bryant in Fairfield on November 15.

This will be the second meeting between Fordham and Sacred Heart on the gridiron

The Rams won the first matchup, 37-27, in the first round of the 2013 NCAA FCS Championship last November on Jack Coffey Field as
Mike Nebrich completed 32 of 51 passes for 413 yards and three touchdowns with
Dan Light catching nine passes for 68 yards and
Sam Ajala seven for 128 yards

Fordham freshman running back
Chase Edmonds is third in the NCAA FCS in rushing touchdowns with 21. He is also eighth in the NCAA FCS in all-purpose yards/game, averaging 165.50 yards/game in eleven games this year, while also ranking sixth in rushing yards (1,539) and eighth in rushing yards/game (128.3)

The 2014 Patriot League title is the culmination of four years of hard work for the Fordham senior class, who went 1-10 as freshmen back in 2011. But
Joe Moorhead was hired as head coach following that season and brought with him a new mindset which the players bought into and the Rams are now reaping the rewards of their diligence, going 22-4 over the past two years with back-to-back NCAA FCS Championship appearance
