The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its volleyball major awards and all-conference teams this afternoon. Among those listed was Fordham's
Lisa Hipp, who was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team.
She is joined on the All-Academic Team by Duquesne's Arielle Love and Patti Abshire, Rhode Island's Catie Steffen and Caroline Casey, La Salle's Jennifer Whelan, and Davidson's Shannon Morgan.
This marks the second straight year that Fordham has had an All-Academic selection in volleyball with
Maria Rodenberg accomplishing the feat last year.
Hipp is currently enrolled in Fordham's graduate school and working on her master's degree in childhood education, after receiving her undergraduate degree in General Science back in May.
Hipp finished second on the team with 196 kills (2.39/set) and third in digs with 179 digs (2.18/set).
For her career, she ended with 1,221 career kills, good for fifth on Fordham's all-time list, and 951 digs, which is ninth all-time.
