Eric Paschall Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

Newport News, Va. (November 17, 2014) – Fordham University freshman guard Eric Paschall was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for games played over college basketball's opening weekend that began Friday, Nov. 14, it was announced today.
 
In the Rams' 94-77 season-opening win over New York Tech on Friday, Paschall scored 31 points, shooting 12-22 from the field and 4-8 from behind the arc, and he grabbed ten rebounds. The 31 points is a Fordham record for most points scored by a freshman in his collegiate debut, surpassing the former mark of 28 set last year by Jon Severe.
 
Paschall averaged 19.5 ppg on the week, netting seven in a loss at Penn State on Sunday.
 
The Rams (1-1) return to action on Thursday, November 20, as they travel to College Park, Maryland, to face the University of Maryland Terrapins at 7:30 p.m.
