Patriot League Release
 
Bronx, N.Y. – The Patriot League released the 2022 preseason All-League team and for the third straight season Fordham senior quarterback Tim DeMorat was named the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
 
In team predictions, the Rams were picked to finish second behind three-time defending champions Holy Cross. The Crusaders (10-3, 6-0 PL) received 71 points and 11 first-place votes while Fordham (6-5, 4-2 PL) was picked second in the preseason poll with 61 points and two first-place votes.
 
Joining DeMorat in receiving preseason accolades from the Fordham offense are Dequece Carter (Sr., WR), Fotis Kokosioulis (Sr., WR), Phil Saleh (Sr., OL), Trey Sneed (Gr., RB) while Jonathan Coste (Sr., DL) and Ryan Greenhagen (Gr., LB), were named preseason all-conference from the defense.

• 2022, 2021, and 2020-21 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year.
• 2021 Phil Steele Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year.

• Completed 234 of 400 passes for 3,214 yards and 31 touchdowns.
• Also rushed for 92 net yards and four scores.
• The 31 passing touchdowns is the third most in a season for a Ram while the 3,214 passing yards is fourth best.
• Led the Patriot League and ninth in the NCAA FCS in passing touchdowns.
• Led the Patriot League and 13th in the NCAA FCS in passing yards.
• Led the Patriot League and ninth in the NCAA FCS in passing yards/game (292.2).

Dequece Carter, Sr., WR, Louisa, Va./Woodberry Forest School
• Named to the 2022 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 List.
• Enters 2022 with 18 career touchdown receptions, tied for sixth on the Fordham career list.
• Enters 202 with 1,869 career receiving yards, tenth most in school history.
• Named 2021 First Team All-Patriot League.
• Started all eleven games at wide receiver.
• Caught 48 passes for 872 yards and eleven touchdowns.
• Recorded at least one touchdown in eight of the eleven games.
• Led Patriot League and was 23rd in the NCAA FCS in receiving yards/game (79.3).
• Second in the Patriot League and eleventh in the NCAA FCS in touchdown receptions.
• Second in the League and 26th in the NCAA FCS in receiving yards.
• Fifth in the League in receptions/game (4.4).
• Eleven touchdown catches tied for fourth most in a season at Fordham.
 
Jonathan Coste, Sr., DL, Queens, N.Y./Christ the King
• Appeared in three games on the defensive line in 2021 after recovering from injury, staring one.
• Made eleven total tackles, six solo, including five for loss and 1.5 sacks.
• Recorded eight tackles, five solo, including 3.5 for loss versus Holy Cross.
• Finished with two stops, including one sack, at Colgate.
 
Ryan Greenhagen, Gr., LB, Sparta, N.J./ Pope John XXIII
• Named to the 2022 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 List.
• Enters 2022 season with 184 solo tackles and 35.5 career TFLs, both fifth-best in school history, along with 312 total tackles, fourth best.
• Enters 2022 season first among active FCS players with 10.03 tackles/game and third with 1.32 tackles for loss per game through 31 career games.
• Started the first five games in 2021 before suffering a season-ending injury.
• Recorded 102 total tackles, 46 solo, including 5.5 for loss and 3.0 sacks.
• Also had two pass breakup sand one interception.
• Was leading the NCAA in tackles/game when injured.
• Broke NCAA record with 31 total tackles at Nebraska.
• Made 28 tackles, eleven solo, including one for loss, the following week versus Monmouth.
• Recorded 17 stops, five solo, including 2.0 for loss, in win at Stony Brook.
• Also had 17 tackles at FAU.
 
Fotis Kokosioulis, Sr., WR, Park Ridge, Ill./Maine South
• Enters season fourth on the Fordham career touchdown receptions list (21) and 12th on the career receiving yards list (1,682). 
• Named First Team All-Patriot League in 2021.
• Started all eleven games at wide receiver.
• Caught 57 passes for 783 yards and 13 touchdowns.
• Led team in receptions and receiving scores.
• 13 touchdown catches tied for second most in a season at Fordham.
• Led Patriot League and was second in the NCAA FCS in receiving touchdowns.
• Led Patriot League in scoring (7.1 ppg).
• Second in the Patriot League in receiving yards and fourth in receiving yards/game (71.2).
• Second in the League in receptions/game (5.2).
• Led the Patriot League and 25th in the NCAA FCS in all-purpose yards/game (112.8).
 
Phil Saleh, Sr., OL, Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest
• Named 2021 First Team All-Patriot League.
• Started all eleven games at right tackle.
• Helped Rams lead the Patriot League and ranked eleventh in the NCAA FCS in passing offense (296.7 yards/game) and lead the League and rank 12th in the NCAA FCS in total offense (447.5 yards/game).
• Helped Rams ranked second in the PL and 18th in the NCAA FCS in scoring offense (33.6 points/game).
• Helped Rams lead the PL and rank 22nd in the NCAA in fewest sacks allowed (1.36/game) and lead the League and rank ninth in the NCAA in TFLs allowed/game (3.91/game).
 
Trey Sneed, Gr., RB, Orange Park, Fla./Fleming Island
• Appeared in three games in an injury-shortened season.
• Rushed 49 times for 354 yards and four touchdowns.
• Also caught four passes for 52 yards.
