Williamsburg, Va. - The Fordham track & field team returned to Virginia this week for their second outdoor meet of the season, the Colonial Relays, hosted by William & Mary University in Williamsburg.

On the men's side, Fordham scored in three events, led by
Thomas Slattery who finished second overall in the 5,000 meter run in 14:20.96. Also scoring for the Rams was
Michael Petersen who placed eighth in the 400 meter dash in 48.80 and
Fritz Heinrich who placed seventh overall in the 3,000 meter run in 8:34.11.

Other top performers on the men's side included
Jared Benn (17
th – 49.58) in the 400 meter dash,
Richard Webber (28
th – 22.91) in the 200 meter dash and
Louis Santelli (20
th – 3:56.13) and
Sean Phillips (28
th – 3:57.94) in the 1,500 meter run.

The men are currently tied for 18
th place in the team standings with 12 points.

Nkeka Pinheiro
On the women's side, Fordham was led by
Nkeka Pinheiro who had two top-20 finishes on Friday, placing tenth in the 200 meter dash in 25.49 and 16
th in the 100 meter dash in 12.56. Also competing in the 200 was
Mary Kate Kenny who finished 15
th in 25.78.

Merissa Wright (17
th – 58.64) in the 400 meter dash,
Laurel Fisher (20
th – 11:03.60) in the 3,000 meter steeplechase,
Morgan Menzzasalma (38
th – 1:06.68) in the 400 meter hurdles and
Shanna Heaney (36
th – 2:14.55) in the 800 meter run.
