John "Jack" Campbell helped Fordham earn its first indoor track championship in 1941. He ran the 440 leg of the Rams' sprint medley relay team that set a world record. Campbell also ran the anchor leg of the one-mile relay that captured first place in the indoor meets - Millrose Games, NYAC, and Knights of Columbus.
Campbell was the IC4A 440-yard champion for outdoors and twice won the IC4A 600-yard championship for indoors.
