Fordham University Athletics

George Babich played for the Fordham men's basketball team from 1940-43.

He served as team captain during the 1942-43 season, as the Rams went 16-6 and earned the team's first-ever National Invitation Tournament bid.  The team went on to beat Western Kentucky in the opening round of the NIT, 60-58, in front of 18,000 at Madison Square Garden.
