Eric Trammell came out of high school an All-American and he and his twin brother, Alex, was a member of the 1975 two-mile relay team that registered the third fastest time in the world with a first-place clocking of 7:27.2 at the IC4A Indoor Championship at Princeton. The team finished second at the NCAA Championships, earning All-American honors. The brothers earned the added distinction of being only the second set of twins ever to be NCAA track All-Americans.
