Fordham University Athletics

Ed DeGroat teamed with several of the University's all-time high scorers to carry the rams to two successive trips to the National Invitation Tournament. A 6'4" forward, DeGroat was a hard-nosed player who provided enthusiasm and a scoring punch. DeGroat teamed with Fordham standouts Jim Cunningham, John Brady, and John Andariese, on Coach Johnny Bach's 1957-58 and 1958-59 teams. As a senior, DeGroat scored 23 against Pittsburgh and 21 against Detroit.
