Whether he was running a sweep, throwing an option pass, or spiraling a kick downfield, left halfback Tony Sarausky was one of the offensive weapons that made Fordham a regional power in the 1930's.
In a 13-12 Fordham win over Tennessee in 1934, a game known as "Sarausky's Masterpiece", Sarausky threw a 32 yard touchdown pass kicked an extra point, and when the Rams trailed 12-7 turned an end sweep that was apparently stopped cold into a 60 yard touchdown run. Two years earlier, in 1932, Sarausky scored the only touchdown in a 7-0 win over NYU.
After graduation, Sarausky played for the New York Giants before joining the military. After his discharge, Sarausky coached football in New Hampshire on the high school ranks, first at Manchester Central and then from 1956-75 at Littleton High.
